LOCATION: Village of Bryastovets (Bourgas District) is located in South-Eastern Bulgaria. It is part of Bourgas Municipality, 250 m altitude. To the north-west are the branches of the Eastern Balkan Mountains. Bryastovets is a small-sized Bulgarian village with a population of about 330 people. The village is well developed and has a community center, a shop, three coffe-bars, gas station and a bus stop. There is a daily public transport to Bourgas. The settlement is located outside the bustle of the big seaside resorts and offers the rare chance to experience the tranquil relaxed atmosphere of the country life changed little by the modern world. The village is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful and unspoilt nature sceneries and wonderful views of the Black sea and the city of Bourgas. In the village there is church "St. Athanasius", which existed since 1870. The perfect combination of the fresh mountain air and the warm Mediterranean sun makes the days enjoyably hot and the nights refreshingly cool, thus offering excellent conditions for recreation and healthy living. The favourable geographic location of the village and its diverse surrounding relief, combined with the unique rural lifestyle and the local culture and traditions, are ideal premises for practicing different types of alternative tourism and leisure activities - walking, trail running, bird-watching or for the less energetic, simply relaxing. Near the village there are several large dams, which are a great place for those who love fishing.
