The village of Lozenets is located in the south-eastern part of Bulgaria, 5 km north of Straldja, 30 km from Yambol, 35 km from Sliven and 75 km from the South Black Sea – Burgas, Pomorie, Aheloi, Sunny beach, Nesebur. The highroad Sofia – Burgas, crossing a village.
The population of the village is about 650 inhabitants.
The village of Lozenets is located in the foods of Stara Mountain. This is one of the place in the sun in the Bulgaria.
Strandja Mountain, in which food the village is tucked away, the name originates from Old-Bulgarian name in this region - “Strajitsa” i. e. “ the border earth”, stage between two continents -Europe and Asia. Strandja Mountain is not only the political border of century, but also the nature border, as regards of the relief, the climate, the waters, the soils, the flora and fauna of this southeast part of Balkanski Peninsula. The highest top of Strandja Mountain is located in Turkish - the name is “Mahaida” – with high 1031 meters . The highest top of Strandja Mountain in the Bulgaria is high 632 meters – the name is “Kervan sarai”
The village of Lozenets is the outermost and smaller village /75 inhabitants/. The village of Lozenets is located in the Straldja Municipality, in the Yambol region.
Straldja is a small town, but the geographical position, transformed the town of road – economic- administrative centre /Straldja Minucipality/. The town is located in a weighty roads, connecting the Black Sea with the interior of North and South Bulgaria.
The town of Straldja is situated, within a short driving distance, north-east of Yambol – 23 km.
The population of the town of Strandja are about 6 500 inhabitants.
The earliest informations for the town are meeting from Turkish-Ottoman documents. For the many years history of the town of Straldja “spoken” us the presence of remains of the ancient Thracian and the settlements of the Middle Ages.
